process over product
community over competition
skill over perfection
learning over consumption
Welcome to Good Crafternoon!
Good Crafternoon is a creative educational space for kids after school, adults after work, and everyone on the weekends and during the summer to learn crafts.
Offerings include knitting, crochet, macramé, tapestry weaving, paper arts, polymer clay sculpture, printing and any crafts the community shows an interest in. Each week of programming will feature a different calendar offering of crafts. With classes capped at 8 students, students will have the attention they need to advance steadily in their skills.
This site is and will always be a work in progress! Check back for new programs and classes. Thanks for being here.
Next Time on Good Crafternoon:
Hey, hey. Happy end of summer! Y'all know the mission of Good Crafternoon is to promote process over product, community over competition, skill over perfection, and learning over consumption. As a function of the mission, change to the business itself is inevitable! This is an announcement that Good Crafternoon is transitioning to a nomadic structure. Look for pop up events at markets, book Good Crafternoon for your own events, and in some creative spaces you may not guess you can be creative in! The rest of September, only Friday times will be offered at Brooklyn Collective, so book yourself for All You Can Craft Buffet and Cheese & Crafters. Additionally, pardon our dust on the website while it's under reorganization.
Brooklyn Collective has been a wonderful place to start. Much has been learned, and the community has grown. The mission works! Underpinning all the efforts of the business of Good Crafternoon is a deep sense of gratitude.
This is not good bye, this is see you later 👋
